The Rado Boljun trained Ready to Strike will take on a great line up in the 'Great X'mas Specials' at Jim Murphy's Class 6 1100m Handicap on Monday the 11th of December. The now 4-year-old mare by More Than Ready will appreciate the drop back in distance from his last start defeat at Randwick and has an impeccable recored at Queanbeyan with 2 wins from as many starts. Early in his career Ready To Strike ran a game 5th to Al Samer in the Black Opal Stakes as a 2 year old and has recaptured his form with a recent win at Gundagai and sound performance at Randwick recently. When leading at Randwick on Dec 2 Ready To Strike could not quite see the 1300m distance out and will appreciate the drop back in distance to 1100m. With other metropolitan class gallopers engaged including Private Dan, Pablo Diablo, Cherine and throw in local legend A Little Rusty, Ready To Strike should represent good each-way claims and be very hard to beat. Queanbeyan Racing Club as part of the festive season will also be offering a leg of ham to each winning trainer on the program on Monday the 11th of December and with a Twilight Program commencing at 2.30pm and finishing at just before 7pm, patrons are encouraged to zip out after work and enjoy great racing in the cooler part of the day. If you are a reader of the Sunday Telegraph or Queanbeyan Age, by cutting out a Takeover Target Voucher you may also receive a free beer on the club, should Takeover Target win at Hong Kong on Sunday. For me details regarding the promotion please see this weeks Sunday Telegraph and Queanbeyan Age. For more details on the day or to book a table at the club please call David on 6299 2398. |
